I am sick and tired of being harassed by people wanting my money. I get it all day long; telemarketers, spammers, unsolicited faxes, junk mail, pop-up ads (while I’m surfing the net), commercials on Satellite (Cable) TV etc. These jerks disrupt my life and I cannot do a thing about it.

Telemarketers call me on a daily basis. Do I want my windows replaced? Do I want to buy a nifty little thingamabob that will guarantee to suck up my pockets clean? Will I please buy a ticket to see the circus so that a poor little child will receive school supplies or a new heart? Yah-tah-tah, yat-tah-tah, yat-tah-tah …

I turn on my fax machine. What do I get? More harassment. Senders are required to put their phone numbers so that I can block them from sending me junk. But they are smart. They put on their phone number not their fax numbers so that I must call them to be removed from their list. I have to waste my time calling them, listening to their promotion just so that they won’t bother me again? Is this fair?

I go home turn on my computer. You know…to keep in touch with friends and relatives. I get spammed. Who sold them my e-mail address?

I surf the net. You got it, those nasty pop-up ads. Everywhere I visit they pop up, one two, three at a time! Help! If you can show me how to get rid of this monster please e-mail me at donna@mycaledon.com.

I get tired of it all. I want to relax and have some fun…turn on my TV maybe watch a movie or a comedy. What do I see? ADS! They run longer than the program. What really gets my goat is that I pay to get Satellite TV. If I’m paying for it, why do I have to suffer through endless streams of advertisements?

My whole day is ruined. Am I happy? Will I buy their products? Will I give to the poor needy children?

Sorry, my heart has turned to stone.
