March Brings A Spring by Lloyd Richard Bittle
 
Put a “spring” in your step and a welcome to Spring! Our weather has brought many surprises. SNOW, Snow, snow! And cold! (Oh! My aching back.) Well, hopefully this month will see us put away our shovels and welcome spring, birds and violets. Birds and Violets we have at our Senior Centre waiting to say “Hello”! And make your day. The Centre has activities designed just for you! “Come out, come out wherever you are!” and join us.

Our 2003 Executive and Board of Directors with President Patricia (Pat) Everson guarantee a 2003-year second to none. With our following Board of Directors, who assumed office, at our Annual General Meeting held January 26th. it will be!

***Remember your membership! Dues for 2003 are due now! $12/year is the bargain of your year. Members receive preference for seating for trips; first place seating for dinners, when signed in, and priority opportunity for participation in all activities at our Centre. Join now!
***Our Annual Gala Fundraising Day is coming in April. Books of tickets for our Grand draw are available to you. Every member a book. Tickets are $2/each or 3/$5. Prizes total in excess of $2000 of value. It is our BIG Fundraiser. Get your tickets NOW! Help us help you!

Tuesday 4, 11.45 p.m.Our Shrove Tuesday Lunch with Sausages and Pancakes galore. $5/plate. Satisfy that “sweet tooth!” Bridge and Euchre following.
Wednesday 5, Ash Wednesday Lunch and Games. Carpet Bowling A.M.and Bingo P.M.
Thursday, 13, Probus. 10 A.M. All seniors welcome. Guest speaker. Fellowship!
Monday 17, St. Patrick’s Day! Games 10A.M. Lunch 12noon, Woodcarving 1,00P.M. “Top O’ the mornin to Ye”
Tuesday 18, Our St. Patrick’s Dinner and Entertainment Irish Dancers and Song! Wear your shamrock and green! 5.00P.M. $12/members, $15/non. “Giorraionn Beirt Bo’thar” (Two make the road easy).
Friday, 21st., FIRST DAY OF SPRING! “Our Lucky old Sun” We hope!

Wednesday, 26, 12.00 noon, Our Monthly Pot Luck Luncheon. Food Gift or Pot Pay!
