| MAKING MP3 FILES |

One of the questions I get asked most is “How do you make MP3 files?” So, without further ado, let’s take a look at how
you can convert your cd collection into MP3 format. First off, though, I would like to point out that there are a number
of “peer-to-peer file sharing” programs, such as Kazaa or BearShare. This craze started with Napster a few years back, and
much to Metallica’s dismay, doesn’t seem to be slowing down in the least. Whereas the MP3 files you create can be shared
on these networks, I would like to make it clear that in no way, shape or form does COMPU-101 endorse the use of these
file sharing programs, nor the piracy of music or software.
That’s not to say, however, that the MP3 format is illegal, because it’s not. There are many perfectly legal uses of it..
